Accompanied by Porongurup Pure Cheeses. Dan loves Porongurup wine and he'll work with us though a series of good fun Masterclasses, breaking down local Rieslings, Chardonnays, Shiraz and eventually Pinot Noir with some cheese and a few laughs.

Born in Adelaide Dan grew up just outside of Coonawarra. He fell in love with wine whilst living and working in Central Otago before becoming a sommelier in Sydney. He has had roles in Europe and UK before heading back to Australia.
He is Australia’s most awarded sommelier. Dan represented us to 4th place at the World Champs in Athens in 2011 as Australia’s young sommelier of the year whilst curating as Head Sommelier at Quay in Sydney, then penned Australia’s most awarded wine list at Perth’s Print Hall, a recent recipient of the elusive Grand Award by Decanter Magazine in 2015.

Dan has emerged as a great advocate of Great Southern wine and has actively made a start at growing the Great Southern brand through his distribution business The Drink Well Philosophy.

Watch culinary creations in the making at the One Wok Wonder and cooking demonstration with Anna Gare and Don Hancey.
Considered one of Australia’s most loved female celebrity cooks. Anna has won the hearts of many people while hosting and cooking on prime time television shows such as Junior Masterchef (Network Ten), The Great Australian Bake off (Network nine), The Best in Australia and Quickies in my Kitchen which, featured Anna preparing quick easy recipes while chattng with high-profile guests.
Anna is passionate about inspiring people to cook and enjoy healthy homemade meals. Her infectious energy, charisma and simple delicious recipes have made her an audience and brand favourite.
Long time Chef and WA Food Ambassador Don Hancey continues to support, promote and showcase Western Australia's food and beverage producers on the worlds culinary stages.
Don's recent trips to China have re-affirmed that Western Australia’s clean and green produce will be increasingly sought after in the rapidly growing markets of India and China.
Dons focus in 2018 is to continue to build bridges of friendship and leveraging trade for WA’s Agri Business's, both large and small producers alike, via some of Chinas top Chefs from 5 and 6 star hotels who have been made WA Food Envoys.
Blue Stuka, formerly Groove Unit, is a local three piece playing a mix of pop, blues and rock that spans from a swinging acoustic jazz vibe thru to rattlin' classic rock. The band compliments this set of memorable hits with WAM award nominated original music.
An area is set aside with Albany Bouncy Castle activity. There will be free train rides for the under 10s and keep a watch out for Jamie the Clown.
There will be plenty of parking. Just follow the signs and instructions from traffic marshals on the day.

FROM PERTH - Head south down Albany Highway, turn left (east) on to Porongurup Road and travel 10.43 kilometres and turn right (south) on to Woodlands Road.
FROM ALBANY - Albany Highway Route - Head north up Albany Highway, turn right (east) on to Porongurup Road and travel 10.43 kilometres and turn right (south) on to Woodlands Road.
FROM ALBANY - Chester Pass Road Route - Head north up Chester Pass Road, turn left (west) on to Porongurup Road and travel 17.39 kilometres and turn left (south) on to Woodlands Road.

Dave Taylor, guitarist and singer, is a veteran of the Perth 80's original music scene releasing a number of independent recordings with his band Surface Tension and opening for the likes of The Moody Blues Hoodoo Gurus, Icehouse, Australian Crawl and Ian Moss to name a few.
Todd Moore, played drums in a number of bands in the US before moving to Denmark where he is well known as a sought after session drummer, also featured with Blue Manna and Moon Dog J.
Mark Roebuck Played bass in various rock bands in Perth including Helter Skelter, and Contraband and has earned a reputation as one of the hottest and most musical bass players in the local scene
The band has been gigging solidly for the last three years under the Blue Stuka name and previously on and off for over a decade as Groove Unit, some of the more notable performances being the 2002 and 2003 Bridgetown Blues Festival, supporting jazz legend James Morrison and the 2013 Albany Blues Club launch of the album 'Strange in Paradise' jammin with co-producer and blues master Lez Karski later getting two nominations in the WAM song of the year awards.

The 2018 One Wok Wonder will be a special celebration as THREE PAST WINNERS return to compete in a fun cook-off, against the clock using some amazing local produce and a wok. Don Hancey and Anna Gare will be joined by local chefs to judge their dish.
